Elysian Fields Hunting Preserve, Established 2008

• Elysian Fields began as the dream of a frustrated Michigan hunter in the fall of 1998.  Like many, Robert was frustrated by the short hunting season,  and a lack of quality trophy whitetail deer.  A dream, once just an idea, became a passion,  and in 2008 Elysian Fields Hunting Preserve opened its gates to the public for the first time.  

• Elysian Fields is 380 Acres of hardwood forest, swamps, thick brush, grasslands, and farmland located in Central Michigan.

L. Robert McElmurry - Owner / Hunter

An Avid Hunter and lifelong resident of Michigan,  Robert has long dreamed of hunting incredible deer in a perfect setting.  Ten years in the making,  Elysian Fields Hunting Preserve represents the culmination of that dream.  Robert wants hunters and guests at Elysian Fields to enjoy the preserve the same way he has for the past thirty years.    

Chris Rugg - Perserve Manager / Lead Guide

Chris has been with Elysian Fields since the beginning. Chris has a passion for the outdoors and has been hunting in Michigan since he was a young boy.  Chris has over ten years of experience guiding whitetail hunts in the United States. Chris is passionate about hunting,  and passionate about our guest hunters at Elysian Fields.  Chris will make sure all of your needs are met and see to it that you have the experience you are looking for.   In addition to big game hunting, Chris also enjoys competitive coon hunting. 

Jeff Stanton - Lead Guide

Jeff Stanton is  known to some as six-time AMA Motocross and Supercross Champion, and member of the AMA Hall of Fame.  To Elysian Fields, he is our lead guide and one of our great assets . Since 2009,  Jeff has been an expert guide,  and all-around good guy.  A lifelong hunter, he has incredible energy and wants to make sure that everyone is having as much fun as he is.
